Hi.

Welcome to my blog. I document my adventures in life through my thoughts on travel, style, food and even occasionally work.

Stir it Up: Ballston gets some Japanese flavor with help from Chefs Kim and Isabella

Stir it Up: Ballston gets some Japanese flavor with help from Chefs Kim and Isabella

Now that I'm back in the District, well Virginia! I'm trying to tackle the Northern Virginia food scene! Recently, I went to Chef Mike Isabella and Jonah Kim's new restaurant in the Ballston Area. Yona is both a full service noodle bar and a Japanese small dish restaurant. With the Ramen Broth and noodles being made solely for Yona, your experience is both homely and modern. Yona boasts an extensive beverage, cocktail and sake list with Japanese brands.

Though all of the Ramen products except for one are all pork based, Yona's veggie ramen is absolutely delicious and filling. Aside from the delicious food, Yona's atmosphere is simple with a modern flare!

You should definitely EAT AND DRINK here!
