The Reel: Dr. Maya Angelou Documentary's Journey to Sundance
After much anticipation, "Maya Angelou And Still I Rise" a feature-length documentary about Poet Maya Angelou will make its premiere at Sundance Film Festival next month. The documentary is directed by Bob Hercules and Rita Coburn Whack. According to the synopsis, the film will tell "the remarkable story of Maya Angelou - iconic writer, poet, actress and activist whose life has intersected some of the most profound moments in recent American history."
