Situations: Momofuku and Milk Bar take DC!
When Momofuku's Crack Pie makes you sooooo very happy.
As a recent returnee to Washington, D.C., I'm always longing for a bit of New York! Don't get me wrong, I love DC and it will always have a special place in my heart! But New York is New York and after living there for two years...there is nothing quiet like it.
So I was definitely excited to hear about Momofuku's latest location in City Center DC and even more excited about their Milk Bar! So let me fill you in on all of the details! Wanting to fulfill my craving for the Milk Bar's delicious and addictive "Crack Pie", my mom and I decided to go to Momofuku CCDC. However, we were very shocked by the long line that awaited us. After some finessing, we decided to get a table at the restaurant. Instead of a warm greeting, our waitress and the manager at the time greeted us with a bit of an attitude because we only wanted dessert. HEADS UP: If want to order desert from the restaurant, you have to eat dinner first...
On my second visit, the experience was much better! I had the biscuit bites and the hozon ramen! Both were very delicious! However, if you are a vegan Momofuku might not be the best place for you to go. Most of the appetizers and main courses either have meat or dairy products. Not all hope is lost though, my mother tried and enjoyed some of the vegan cookie options from Momofuku.
